Are you a student looking for an affordable and comfortable place in Portland? Do you enjoy having two adorable pets to play with, a peaceful place to study, a place to socialize, ride a bike downtown in under 15 minutes, and shop and eat in walking distance from your home? Then read on and find out if you might be a match for us!
My name is Michelle, and Im 26 years old. I am a student at PSU and have lived in Portland for a most of my life. Im finishing school this spring and planning a trip to Europe after graduation. I study Community Development and Sustainable Urban Development, and have 3 part-time jobs (nanny, intern, research assistant). I like music, movies, good friends, and good food. I am not a great cook, but I like to share what I have and be in good company.
Cody is the other roommate, and he is also 26. Hes not here to write his section, so Im going to do my best. Cody is a really friendly and helpful guy, who works as a carpenter. Hes into bikes and cyclocross racing, and keeps a small workshop in the basement. Hes originally from CA (gasp!) but has fit in with the Portland crowd nicely. He also goes to school, so hes pretty busy.
We are looking for someone of similar age that wants to share a home. We would like it if you were friendly, tidy (dont mind helping out around the house), fun, and responsible. Also, liking pets is a must (although we dont have room for any more, sorry!) The pets are Captain (cat) and Abby (dog), and they are great. Our house is located across from a park and a community garden, and sits between Hawthorne and Belmont where there are places to shop, eat and drink. The room for rent is about 10x12, and has a big window. The house is carpeted, has one bathroom, 2 bedrooms (I use a converted sun-room), and a good-size basement with a washer and dryer. The rent will be $425, plus 1/3 of the utilities (gas, electric, water, and cable internet). Were looking for someone to move in around March 1st. Send us an email if youre interested, and well set up a time for an interview.
Thanks!
Michelle, Cody, Abby, and Captain
