Seeking housemate.

I share my house with my friend and two cats and we are looking for someone to share our home with us. I begin traveling in March for 6 +/- months and am seeking a roommate to move-in before then.

• We are seeking a responsible, conscientious, trustworthy, tidy, cat-friendly, vegetarian-friendly, non-smoker to share our beautiful 3 bedroom 1-1/2 bathroom, 1923 Craftsman Bungalow in upper Hawthorne/Mt. Tabor.

• The rent is $700/month ($600 when I return from traveling)

• The house is fully furnished (bedroom furnishings optional)

• Seeking 1-year lease

About the rooming situation:

• One part-time roommate (Me, I will be traveling for -/+6 months)

• One full-time roommate (young female professional)

• 2 full-time cats

3 year-old, long-hair Himalayan, very independent, prefers the outdoors

13 year-old, medium-hair Siamese mix, very affectionate, prefers laps

About the room for rent: There are two options.

• One bedroom is on the main floor, next to the main bathroom (2 of the 3 bedrooms flank either side of the bathroom)

• One bedroom is in the finished basement (next to the half bath) across from the small TV room (note: the ceiling in the basement is a bit low)

• When unoccupied, the remaining bedroom can be used as a guestroom

Rent:

• $700/month + utilities when 2 people share house (March – August…?)

• $600/month when 3 people share house (Sept.?– March?)

Monthly utilities average: $300 shared

Terms:

• Seeking one-year lease

• First and last months rent plus $100 refundable cleaning deposit

• Total move-in cost = $1500

• Available beginning February 2009
